Sophie Thurner is a German product designer educated at the University of Applied Sciences in Dresden and at Burg Giebichenstein, University of Art and Design Halle.
Her aim is to create sustainable designs which work for the society and the planet, but not necessarily for the industry. In this context, no matter whether the outcome is a product or not, it should come with a circular system that needs to be designed.
She likes to work in interdisciplinary teams to share different kinds of knowledge and create the best results possible. She has already done some workshops to identify and solve problems in urban life, doing short-term interventions.
On the basis of this work, she is now a member of „Urbane Liga“, an association working with the Ministry of the Interior of Germany.
