Mycelium are the roots of mushrooms called. Of course we use and harvest mushrooms for food but the mycelium could also be used as material for products. It is really fast growing and do not need a lot of components and it is nearly growing everywhere, which make it very sustainable.
In order which substrate you give to the mycelium the consitance chances.
So if you are using agricultural waste as food for the mycelium , it feels a little bit like styrofoam. It is very light, but good in isolation. If you harvest it on AgarAgar it is really thin and has an apperance of fabric.
